It seems whenever I make an attempt to clean this sty I call a home, I stumble upon an overwhelming number of cassettes – hidden gems tucked away in the most mysterious of places, carelessly devoid of any labeling or even a protective case. I mean A LOT. I suppose it comes with the territory and all as an active engineer/archivist and tape label honcho, but each time the playhead hits the leader for the first time, there’s a small spark of magic that hits the air, an aura of uncertainty of what lies ahead mixed with the rush that perhaps your newest uncovered treasure will be the grail of the cutting room floor.

Here’s one such I recently stumbled on which has me all bothered. I can only be certain it’s some early Grasshopper incarnation. No idea as to a date, but likely from mid 2007 before we made a move over to full-time trumpet, while we were first sharpening our teeth as budding guitar/keyboard zoners.
